Coriander / Cilantro – Slow Bolt
Season – spring and autumn; Sow 6mm deep; Plant spacing at 45cm; Germination period between 2 to 3 weeks; Soil temperatures between 10˚C and 25˚C; Harvest time approx. 30-45 days.
Coriander is a short lived herb with best results in cool, sunny conditions. Plant seed directly into the garden bed or pot as coriander will from suffer if transplanted. Grow close together to allow foliage to protect roots and reduce the chance for bolting to seed. If a soil temperature above 24˚C is reached, coriander will bolt and go to seed. Coriander is also frost tender.
