Sow 1cm deep into seed trays; Plant out in 4 - 6 weeks; Space plants 45 - 60cm apart; Germination period between 5 and 8 days; Soil temperature between 7°C and 30°C; Harvest time approx. 14 - 28 weeks.

Brussels Sprouts are a cool season crop that enjoy full sun, and well-drained, fertile soil that is high in organic matter. They will tolerate part shade although this will slow the maturing rate. A shallow rooting plant, ensure transplants are not too shallow and mulch to protect the roots. If conditions are too warm, aphids can be problematic but also removed with a strong spray of water.
