Dill – Anethum graveolens

Dill is a delicate annual herb that was traditionally used to soothe digestion. A wonderful herb paired with fish.

Sow seed 10mm deep; Plant spacing at 15cm; Germination period between 7 to 21 days; Soil temperatures between 10˚C and 20˚C; Harvest time approx. 8-12 weeks.

Dill is an easy to grow annual that enjoys full sun, but will tolerate part shade. Dill plants grow to 1m tall and are susceptible to wind, therefore sow seeds close together for extra support. Once flowers begin to form, leaf production will slow. To harvest dill seeds, wait for seed heads to dry, pick and store upside down in a paper bag. Seeds will become loose in the bag, and can later be stored in a glass jar.
