Oakleaf lettuce, as the name suggests has a lobed appearance like an oak leaf. A favourite for its versatility, it can be grown as baby lettuce or a full head.
Lettuce prefers cooler growing conditions in well-drained, loose soil with consistent water. Needs daily water and shade in warmer weather to prevent a bitter flavour and bolting to seed. Pick a few leaves at a time when needed.
