Mint - Garden Mint/ Spearmint

The classic garden companion, mint is a prolific grower with distinct flavour that can lift many dishes from obscurity to divinity. It is easy to grow with low maintenance and perfect for those awkward shady spots of the garden. 

Sow 3mm deep in seed trays; Plant spacing at 30cm; Germination period approx. 12-16 days; Soil temperatures between 21˚C and 24˚C; Harvest time approx. 3 months; Cut leaves from the top to promote growth

Mint is a perennial herb that thrives in damp, partly shaded environments. Sow in seed trays indoors six weeks before the last frost, or outdoors after the last frost. Once established, mint will grow extensively and can take over a garden bed. In winter, mint will die down and send up new shoots in the spring.
