Zucchini – Lebanese
The Lebanese zucchini has pale green skin and a bulbous end section. A real garden performer with prolific sweet and tender zucchinis. They can be eaten young or grown up to 2kg. They are delicious when stuffed and baked.
Sow 2cm deep; Plant spacing at 50-90cm apart; Germination period between 5-10 days; Soil temperatures between 21˚C and 35˚C; Harvest time approx. 6-9 weeks.
Plant
zucchini in a sunny position, they enjoy full sun and well drained, fertile and
fairly loose soil high in organic matter. It is an attractive plant with broad
leaves and a spread of 1.5metres. Don’t plant too close together as they are
highly susceptible to powdery mildew. Water regularly and for best results
plant in a slightly raised bed and mulch.
