A slightly tapered root vegetable with a delicate and slightly sweet flavour. Champion Purple Top has excellent texture and is fast growing.

Sow swedes directly where they are to grow in the garden. Swedes are not fussy about soils and will perform in most conditions, however high organic content may produce unusual shaped roots. They tolerate full sun or part shade. If temperatures exceed 26° C for a sustained period, then swedes may mature too quickly and cause root cracking.
